Dobongsan(Mt.) Nothern of Seoul/very popular one

※ Dobongsan(Mt.) , san means muontain. Jaunbong(peak) bong means peak. so it is dupe, however. we call Dobongsan not Dobong Mt way in Korea. 

 

Dobong Mt. is one of popular Mt. in Seoul. the peak of it is 740m.

 

peak's name is Jaunbong(peak, 740m) and just beside of place is Shinsundae(726m) where people can be.

 

there's several Mt.s around of Seoul's border.

 

Bukhansan National Park

Bukhasn National Park has 3 Mt. 

 

1. Bukhansan

2. Dobongsan

3. Sapaesan

 

Bukhansan is little higer than Dobongsan.

Difficulty of climbmig is close.

Actually Korean like climbing. so most of Mt.s in Korea is good for climbing except of remote, isolated ones. 

ex) step, deck, rope etc.

just get out of no.1 gate of station

I was out of Exit no.1, Dobongsan station.

 

it took 10 minutes from station to gate of Mt.

 

In that way, there are so many store, restaurant, street seller etc. 

 

little bit confused to get gate. but no problem, if you check other people who looks as same as you are or main direct for Mt.. Mt. is just right front! and feel it!

it is kind of superstition.

Madang Rock

Madang means yard or garden. 

 

That space is wide. that's why it call Madang(yard) Rock.

not being special climber, no way get there.

It looks dangerous. 

 

It is not that dangerous. but if there are heavy wind, and then need to be careful.

This peak is second for altitude in Seoul. so it is supposed to see Seoul and Gyeonggido. 

 

but fine dust condition was bad. it ruined view.

it took 2hours to Shinsundae peak. 

 

it's been a long time to climb Mt. so i moved slowly. 

 

Although i didn't see great view, but barely had exercised in recent, so it was great time that i swet and burned my muscle.

 

I really recommend this Mt.

 

Korea's Mt.s are well made for climbing and exercising!
